Hello, I'm Frank Vala, chairman of the Association for the beach nourishment Portinente ONLUS ". There were other times I tried to reach readers of this newsletter without any success, but I'm stubborn and I want to try again. This time, however, thanks to the Director of this magazine, I was able to put at your disposal the tools that will enable you to participate actively in ns. Association newsletter and disseminating the initiative. As you can see the goal is to reconstruct the original beach Portinenti with no environmental impact and has a decades-long duration.

How

The project University of Naples, based on the study of natural event occurred in Vietri sul Mare (see technical report). With this method it would take approx. 10,000 cubic meters of inert disposed in rocks up to the surface, which are the foundation of the beach, coarse sand and gravel and above. The beach of Vietri has these characteristics and in 50 years has lost only 20 m. wide.

On the basis of the cost incurred by the Campania Region for the nourishment of the beach Maronti of Ischia (see http://www.apat.gov.it/site/_Files/MARONTI.pdf ) we that expenditure for the nourishment of the beach should be around 70 000 euro, provided that will allow us to collect the necessary materials on site, otherwise, if it were to be imported, the costs would be much higher and perhaps be forced to discontinue the project. Precisely for this reason we decided to establish a membership fee in € and include the issuance of a surety of the freely chosen, so that in case of failure to complete the work, we would call the member only a € because the surety would be returned.

If the project will be the subscribers, will pay, work is completed, the amount stated in the surety directly to the bank which will advance the money for its implementation.

I invite you all to participate and as soon as possible because many implementations are costly and require considerable time for their completion, and also why not ask the loan required and does not involve the relevant bodies before they will harvest sureties for the amount provided .
